Με πάμπολλες ατομικές  και  ομαδικές  εικαστικές εκθέσεις  στο  ενεργητικό  της  και  μια  εντυπωσιακή  συγγραφική  παραγωγή  50  βιβλίων  η   Χατζοπούλου  έχει   αναπτύξει   μια  προσωπική  γλώσσα  που  διαπερνά  τα  όρια  των  τεχνών.

Η   καλλιτέχνιδα   είναι   βαθιά   εσωτερική,  στοχαστική,  ευαί-σθητη  αλλά  δυνατή,  χαρακτηριζόμενη  από  σεμνότητα,   πει-θαρχία,  περιεχόμενο.  Έχει  πλούσιο   φαντασιακό  και  χρησι-μοποιεί  την  τέχνη  ως  γλώσσα  του  ασυνείδητου.  

Δεν κάνει "διακοσμητική  τέχνη",  αλλά  τέχνη  που  κουβαλάει  νόημα,  συμβολισμούς  και  αποτυπώνει  βιώματα, συγκρούσεις, συναισθήματα  και  ψυχικές  διεργασίες.  Βρίσκεται  σε  επαφή  με το ασυνείδητο, αναμετριέται  με  τα  αρχέτυπα  και  τα  σύμ-βολα,  επεξεργάζεται  και  ενώνει  το  φως  και  το  σκοτάδι.

Τα   έργα   της  Χατζοπούλου  δεν   περιορίζονται   σε   ένα  μό- νο  καλλιτεχνικό  χώρο,   αλλά   αποτελούν  ένα  πολυδιάστατο  σύμπαν   που   συνδυάζει   ζωγραφική,   σκιτσογραφία,  φωτο-γραφία,  λογοτεχνία, κόσμημα, φιλοσοφική  αναζήτηση κ.ά. Η δημιουργία   της  είναι  ολιστική,  καθώς   ενώνει  την  αισθητι-κή  με  τη γνώση  και την  πνευματικότητα. Υπερβαίνοντας  την  απλή  αισθητική   μπλέκει  το  θεατή  σε  μια  βαθιά  διαλογιστι-κή   έκφραση   που  προσκαλεί   σε  στοχασμό  και  ενδοσκόπη-ση.

  Η  "genius loci"  της  Θεσσαλονίκης  -  εικαστικός  και  συγγραφέας  - Δέσποινα Χατζοπούλου   χαρακτηρίζεται  από  εμβριθή  πνευματικότητα,  ζωηρή  φαντασία  και  απαράμιλλο  πάθος  για  την  επιστήμη, τα γράμματα  και  τις   τέχνες.   Η  πειθαρχημένη  δημιουργός  περπατάει  στα  απαιτητικά  μονοπάτια  τους  με ταλέντο, αυτοπεποίθηση, αφοσίωση και  δύναμη  που  δεν  πηγάζει  μόνο  από το χαρακτήρα  της,  αλλά  και  από  την  εσώτερη  της  γνώση.

BIOGRAPHY

Despoina  Chatzopoulou  is  a  multifaceted  creator  based  in  Thessaloniki, Greece. She  has  an  extensive  academic  background,  including  degrees  in  civil  engineering,  monument  restoration,  project  management,  sustainable  development and  pedagogical science. 

She  has  written  42  books - 34  between  2014 and 2018 - covering  a  wide  range  of  topics  such  as  historical,  philosophical,  technological  studies,  Fantasy  Literature, biograpies,  novels  and  poetry  collections. She  is  deeply  involved  in  every  stage  of  her  books  production  from  writing  and  editing  to  illustration  and  cover  design.  

Despoina  Chatzopoulou  is  involved  in  various  creative  projects  beyond  her  writing.  She  is  an  acomplished  visual  artist  (painting,  sketching,  handmade  jewelry,  photography  etc).  Her  multidisciplinary  approach  allows  her  to  create  unique  works  that  frequenty  explore  emotions,  themes  of  mythology, folklore, byzantine  iconography, history, religion  etc  and  blend  technical  precision  with  artistisc  creativity.
